Sunshine Environmentals WordPress Site Integrations

There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to creating a website, our recent work for Sunshine Environmentals shows how a well designed website can give visitors a truly online experience of a business, wherever they’re searching from.  

Sunshine Environmentals are an established wholesale nursery business having sent out quality nursery plants since 1975. Their mission is to provide resellers with the highest quality product with an excellent service and an easy sales process to be their first choice in plant suppliers.

Modern websites require much more than basic contact and about us information which was the case for Sunshine Environmentals’ previous website. Sunshine Environmentals needed an updated, engaging website to help create a stronger online presence for their business and give visitors as much information on their plant range as possible without them needing to visit the nursery themselves. Their previous website did not feature any of their plant products because of isolated data in their existing Hortbase system.

To update their online presence, we recently completed a new WordPress site for Sunshine Environmentals, most notably not only adding their range of plants to the website but also giving visitors the ability to see photos and progress of a plant’s growth. Visitors are now able to search by title, genus, brand category and name to easily find what they’re after. Although Sunshine Environmentals don’t currently have ecommerce capabilities on their site, in the process of updating their website we added a WooCommerce plugin which connects to their current external Hortbase system via a cloud API. This allows the website to have accurate stock levels and details for each plant.

Sunshine Environmentals now have a modern WordPress site that features their entire plant range with stock levels automatically updated with connections to their main product feed and images that show the current progress of the plant. This facilitates orders from nationwide customers who learn about Sunshine Environmentals plants without needing to physically visit their wholesale nursery.

With their product catalogue now online, Sunshine Environmentals’ website proves to be a valuable tool for sales reps as a more dynamic and engaging way to display products compared to traditional paper catalogues etc.
